I’ve been disabled and chronically ill since infancy so my pain tolerance is insanely high. I also funnel all of my rage into determination.

Having said that, the rally was only two hours long and I was able to sit the entire time.

I’ve seen a lot of people advising sitting down. As a mobility impaired person who attends rallies and sign waves do NOT do this. It makes it much harder for people like me to quickly move to safety.

The Department of Justice just requested an emergency stay from the Supreme Court allowing Trump to deploy National Guard troops in Chicago, something lower courts have blocked as unlawful and unjustified. www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

The events around Chicago exhibit many of the same features as these historical precedents—violent and forceful opposition to the lawful authority of the federal
government in its enforcement of particular federal laws. Like the district court, the
court of appeals largely ignored that evidence. The court of appeals recognized that
“incidents of unlawful activity or even violence” have occurred and that Illinois has
been the site of “violent actions [by] demonstrators in protest of the federal government’s immigration policies and actions,” but it sought to dismiss the violence as “isolated” or merely “occasional[].” App., infra, 99a. The record does not bear out those

After this? You want the support of disabled people, then you need to make inclusion a priority. I'm tired of having to struggle because we're an afterthought including groups who claim to be about inclusivity community.

This is one of the major issues I've had with Indivisible. Changing plans at the last minute as well as poor communication. How many meetings have I attended? And yet again some last minute shit which means I may not be able to participate.

two days beforehand is bad enough even if it IS ADA compliant as it's going to create confusion, but not knowing if it's compliant so myself and anyone else who needs accommodation has to either gamble it will be ok, carve time out of our week to go see for ourselves, or just not attend is bullshit

I am fucking furious. I just got notified this morning of a change where my No Kings Rally was to be held. It's being moved to a place where they don't know if it's ADA compliant. With less than 2 days until the rally, I don't have time to haul my own ass down there to see. Changing the location
