Just developed a disappointing roll of film. Not only were most of the shots crap, but the chemistry is past its prime, so the colors were all wonky. I had to scan the images in as B&W. And my dev tank wouldn’t seal properly so I couldn’t fully invert it. That caused some funky streaks and things.

It took me a bit to get the hang of setting the exposure and zone focusing and cocking the shutter and advancing the film with each frame, but this little camera from 1957 makes some nice pictures!

Going to take the #Kodak Pony IV out today and test drive it. I think I have figured it out. Interesting little thing, with its “lens opening number” and “shutter opening number” rings correlated to the exposure value guide they put on the back (that was Kodak film specific). Designed for newbs.

Just got to do a photo shoot alongside my husband, @rockstarballet.bsky.social, who teaches ballet and is a digital photographer. We shot one of his dancers in the #ballet studio, doing headshots and movement. It was a blast! Can’t wait to develop the #film from the shoot and see what I got.

My sweetie gave me an early birthday gift, a roll of #Kodak Portra 800 in #35mm. I have never shot 800 ISO #film of any brand. Anyone have pointers for getting the most out of this rather pricey roll of film? Let’s assume I am going to shoot it in full frame rather than half frame.

Spent today putting together this lighted cabinet for my #camera gear with the help of @baroncalamity.bsky.social. It’s not the sturdiest piece of furniture I have ever owned, but it keeps the cameras out of their cases and where I can see them, perhaps reminding me to use each in turn.

Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7 lens adapted to Olympus PEN EP-1 M43 digital camera. Lens was wide open.

Shot on the Yashica FX-3 with the new Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7 lens with Arista EDU Ultra 400 film developed in Caffenol and scanned with a Plustek 8200i AI. Had the lens wide open and shot this at 1/60th, I believe.
