I inherited a box of old pocket knives. I don’t know much about such things, but I don’t suspect these are worth much. Still, if you collect #knives and want them, you can have them for the price of shipping (here in the US, that is). Just DM me.

A couple of #Charmera shots out the car window on the way home from a doc appt this morning. Don’t worry; I was the passenger.

This was the best image I got off the roll if that gives you any idea...

Just wanted to say @debbiecrochets.bsky.social makes super comfy bed socks/slippers and other cute crocheted things and is raising money to help pay her dogs’ vet bills this way if you want to help out. Check out her profile for links to her Etsy shop.

Sometimes you win with #mysteryfilm, and sometimes you lose. This roll that came in the most recent Samurai was a loss. It was some unbranded film from Germany, 200 ISO, 24 exp. Can anyone identify the stock?

Spent today putting together this lighted cabinet for my #camera gear with the help of @baroncalamity.bsky.social. It’s not the sturdiest piece of furniture I have ever owned, but it keeps the cameras out of their cases and where I can see them, perhaps reminding me to use each in turn.

Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7 lens adapted to Olympus PEN EP-1 M43 digital camera. Lens was wide open.

Shot on the Yashica FX-3 with the new Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7 lens with Arista EDU Ultra 400 film developed in Caffenol and scanned with a Plustek 8200i AI. Had the lens wide open and shot this at 1/60th, I believe.

FedEx finally came through last night, and my new-to-me #Zeiss lens showed up. Put a roll of #film through it. Will develop today and see what I’ve got. Light leaks, I suspect. This #Yashica needs new seals.

A little too late for this semester’s #analog audio unit, I finally got a working boombox. The tape decks actually function! Thanks to @mustangjosh94.bsky.social I have some blank cassettes, so next semester, I think we will talk about the #mixtape and how it disrupted the music industry.

I bought an adapter so I could use #Yashica glass on my #Olympus PEN EP-1 #M43 camera. I shot the Yashica 50mm 1:2 lens against the Olympus kit zoom lens, an M.Zuiko 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6. I like the look of the Yashica glass better, personally, but what do you think?

Playing with DOF at close range with a Rolleinar 3 on my #Yashica D. Even the shots that don’t exactly work look kinda cool IMO. #Film here is Ektar 100.

Somebody said it was #MonochromeMonday, but I thought I’d find a way to work #cats in anyway.

More playing with the Rolleinar 3 on the #Yashica D loaded Kodak Ektar 100 #film.

I was playing with continuous shooting mode on the #Yashica Samurai x3.0 yesterday and captured a few frames that I turned into a very short #film using iMovie. I was inspired by @stigofthedump.bsky.social. I will be playing with this more now that I have started to sort it out…

I did a comparison of the Yashica Kyocera Samurai x3.0 and the Samurai x4.0. The x4.0 is the winner. Images are more consistently exposed & sharper. Shutter and zoom controls are more responsive. And the x4.0 catches focus much faster than the x3.0.

It’s #Caturday, and S’mores modeled for me earlier this week as I tested out a Rolleinar 3 close-up filter and my new Reflx Lab light meter and tried out #Kodak Ektar 100 for the first time on my #Yashica D.

Well, it’s official. I went from having no Samurais to having two of them in just a couple of days. And they both appear to work. Have test rolls in them both. We’ll see how they do. The x3.0 is the “Grand Prix” (gold) version they made in 1988.

Our fall color is now mostly gone. These are from a few weeks ago. Takes a while to get through 72+ frames.
