I have a couple of lenses that are fungus-infected that I’d like to save, and I have one with a bent filter ring that I want to fix. I have duplicates of a couple of lenses, so if I learn on them and fail, well…it’s not the end of the world.

I’m acquiring everything I need to start learning how to disassemble, clean, and (most importantly), put lenses back together. Why? Perhaps because I am a bit of a masochist…

I’ve gotten some nice photos out of it. It really is just a glorified point-and-shoot. No snow here in the Baltimore area. Not yet. We’re supposed to be in for a warmer-than-usual winter according to NOAA.

I’m here to say we’ve been with them about the same amount of time and are really pleased. We have traveled abroad and used their international service, too. Can 100% recommend.

I’m so used to shooting with really cheap film that I’m nervous about ruining a more expensive one. I am tempted to stick it in my Minolta Maxxum 7000, put it in program mode, and let the camera figure out the rest. My other full-frame SLRs are fully manual & I don’t trust myself to nail exposure.
