Police escalated the situation here in Broadview incredibly quickly. Saw multiple brutal arrests. ISP jabbing protesters with their batons like battering rams.

Cops led us into the street as the new “protest zone” and then beat us repeatedly.

Got hit in the face with a baton. Leaving to pick up my friends who were arrested.

Stay safe out there.

If anyone's wondering how this is possible, the answer is these strike teams are moving terrifyingly fast. Grab first, ask questions later. We were about 8-15 minutes behind them today for several hours. They're jumping out of vans, chasing people across lawns, taking them from bus stops, etc

I am still seeing the original gang-related allegations making the rounds on social media. Seems like DHS was either lying or really bad at indicting people. Or both.

DHS claims a “high-ranking Latin Kings member” from Chicago, solicited the murder of top Border Patrol chief.

But at his indictment, there was no mention of gang ties. His lawyers & family say DHS’s narrative of Juan Espinoza Martinez, is false.
