For Seattle folks — look for this the next time you’re at The Moore Theater. The second balcony has a separate entry, and separate stairways serving it as well and can be closed off entirely from the Lobby.
There was a tiktok account that showed the architecture around the country built for segregation that are hidden in plain sight. Like walk up windows at diners, separate entrances at movie theaters, etc.
One of the things that you see at the International Civil Rights Center & Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina is a Jim Crow era Coke machine that was designed to fit into a segregated bus station. One machine two sides.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
