Introduction time!

Hi! My name is Miguel and I’m a PhD student at Michigan State in Lydia Beaudrot’s lab, with a focus on tropical mammal community & macroecology. I’m mostly interested in using novel species distribution modeling methods to evaluate where species will shift to in the coming years.

Trump bought the Argentina election by threatening to withhold U.S. funds unless his preferred candidate won. We can’t let the same playbook unfold here next week. Trump and his administration have already been making threats about the upcoming U.S. elections, and the warning signs are clear.

*Seeing double*

Nope, these images are not the same, or even from the same image sequence! They were taken 23 days apart, with raging snow storms & high winds between them.

#Snowleopards are creatures of habit, regularly coming back to the same tiny patches of ground to see who's been around.

It straight out violates existing law on how NSF works. The FAQ literally says "ignore part 7 of the law establishing NSF's congressional mandate."

That part is about DEI.
2/ value it appears to leave NSF basically intact. And the DEI criteria are not as severe as at other agencies. Obviously things can change on a dime in this admin. But some other players were clearly involved here. www.nsf.gov/updates-on-p...
