RPG player, I occasionally draw, former Pentex exec before getting blowed up. About a year in, and this place is starting to feel pretty good. I tend to mostly repost art I like.

I generally try to avoid reposting a certain level of nsfw, but Oglaf is the artwork that most often makes me break that rule every week.

I also like that occasionally a comic is so surreally horny that Blueskys auto-censoring just can't identify it.

If you're there the right time of year, the Bosque is an amazing place to visit. A hidden piece of nature that is well worth a day trip!

My local-ish Alamo Drafthouse's are no longer selling tickets online. There's been social media posts about switching to QR code ordering instead of pen and paper, but also rumors about being bought out or rebranded.

I really got into seeing movies there last year, hoping this isn't the end.

An opinion I pretty firmly hold is that everyone should make a song, paint a painting, act in something, and write a book even if all of those things end up being objectively terrible

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Yes, I will write you a letter of recommendation."

Further thoughts: for me it is almost akin to seeing NASA announce that, in addition to the Moon, it's going to spin up missions exploring the Mariana Trench.

Good? I'd like to see it, it's just ... not what we've been told is the future plans for the agency for the past 25 years of my career.
Weird email from Isaacman to NASA today. Says the agency needs to build up institutional engineering knowledge through direct hiring, rather than contracting it out. Thats ... a shift. To put it mildly.
