I asked the Minister to elaborate on the government's plans to ensure that Alaa is able to return from Egypt to be with his son for Christmas.

Cardiac Risk in the Young works to save young lives and prevent avoidable tragedies, and it was a privilege to discuss their work with them this week.

It’s impossible not to be deeply moved by Jacob’s story.

His mother, Carly, in the midst of her grief, is bravely spreading this vital message: Privately owned e-scooters are not safe or legal on our roads.

Please do not buy them this Christmas season.

Earlier this week I spoke in Parliament on the Autumn Budget. I welcomed energy bill support and lifting the two-child limit, but stealth taxes hit students, pensions and Torbay’s elderly. Hospitality suffers, trusts collapse, and the West Country was failed. Our communities deserve better.

This week, I led a debate on the huge disruption caused by plans to close J38 of the M6 at Tebay for 18 months southbound, and then for another 18 months northbound.

I'm glad that the Roads Minister said that National Highways will now be conducting a review into proposals for temporary slip roads.

Why is the Prime Minister ignoring his own Chief Economic Advisor, who recommended a Customs Union with the EU to boost growth?

Instead he's choosing to hike taxes in a cost of living crisis.

At last week's #PMQs I pushed the PM to say what his plans are to urgently get people home from hospital but are stuck there because of our failing social care system...

...he had no decent answer
The Prime Minister’s reply dodges the crisis facing our hospitals: blocked beds, limited social care, and services overwhelmed.

Reforms in 2026 won’t help patients stuck this winter, action is needed right now.
