I had minuses for:
•Barham(-2) trying to go around the kickout
•Rolder(-2) stuck behind fallen TE*
•Brandt (doesn't flow)
•Hillman (follows RPO and jogs back)
•Refs (Benny got grabbed)
•RPS (RC personnel stuck on the field from 3rd & 26)
•Myself (minuses don't add up)

If you're Michigan State's AD, and you can pay off your high-interest building loans to your big donors so it doesn't kneecap your payments to players, and you can also paint Michigan Stadium with ads for which you get an equal share, it's a great win.

I don't think it's the rival thing; I think it's the value of the brand. The B10 claims this pension fund is so much better than Learfield at getting Meijer ads to make more $ than we'll have to share w them. It won't, so really it's a loan they want fans, mostly us, to pay for.

Minter had the advantage of deeper DTs so teams didn't want to go 12 pers--that just invited them to put Kris Jenkins on the field. Also M's hybrid-ish players (Stewart, Harrell,Barrett) were at their peaks. Harrell got that huge PBU in '22. Barrett almost intercepted OSU in '23. Teams put it away.

I would have liked to have Adegoke here for a year to get the system down but he's a good name. I gave Mac a lot of grief for sticking to 5-2 vs Iowa and Georgia, which found the exploit with Brock Bowers. Mac also tried 5-1 vs MSU. But Mac adapted. He stopped doing things his players couldn't.

Just need to vent. I'm trying to tally missed tackles but does Berry really deserve one when a) he still got a foot, and b) his neckline was outside of his shoulderpad? Holding is out of control across CFB (Link got a doozy this game) but I'm not going to count it against the defenders.

the rule on quarterbacks under center not being able to go in motion is so obscure and ancient that it literally uses the phrase "t-formation quarterback"

T-Formation Quarterback. It is legal for a T-Formation Quarterback to go in motion, whether he has placed his hands under center, on his knees, or on the body of the center. However, it is a false start if the action is quick and abrupt. If the player fails to come to a complete stop for at least one full second prior to the ball being snapped, it is illegal motion.

Uncalled block in the back on #85 wipes out Sullivan and turns this into a massive gainer but this also demonstrates how Wink's shit isn't well-coached. Pinch with Hausmann replacing on the edge. Who's supposed to react to the pull here? Etta?
