On Monday, Yacht Club Games delayed the much-anticipated upcoming game Mina the Hollower.

On Tuesday, I visited their studio and saw the game. It made for a rare glimpse at why a video game gets delayed and what "polish" actually means.

Why 'Mina the Hollower' Was Delayed
Yacht Club Games hasn't given a new release date, but the delay shouldn’t be more than a few months

Hey, remember how I talk about hating Remakes being treated as replacements for what they're remaking? Guess how I feel about this.
Capcom should die. Give all their IPs to less stupid people.

What im saying is i think The Strokes' discography is so cool specifically because just about every albums release came with baggage that makes them so interesting to the point of even puzzling their frontman. its never business as usual but it never diminishes their output. theyre so fucking cool
of course Julian is going to understand something like Room On Fire better when he wrote all of it! Even on The New Abnormal when the music was collaborative, the lyrics were still 100% Julian. As a result Angles/CM are super interesting as reflections of the *whole* band rather than just their lead
Julian once kind of subtly disowned Angles/Comedown Machine by saying they're albums he "doesnt understand" which some ppl take as meaning they were phoned in, but its important to remember theyre also the only 2 out of 6 records that were 100% Collaboratively written as opposed to being spearheaded
i really need to make some sort of thinkpiece about The Strokes sometime its insane to me that their output is at once so varied and almost aimless whilst all being so exceptionally high quality. it truly is different strokes for different folks.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.
