Making a modular set and having the piece snap together on the first try...hits like crack. I mean, I just started on only have 3 pieces...but I've never made one before and this feels great
It's kinda funny, seeing so many creatives in my professional network, who were so enamoured by AI 3-4 years ago, now slowly starting to sour on it over the last 2 years.

WOW! Protesters created a HUGE human sign on San Francisco’s Ocean Beach reading “No Kings YES on 50” to support California’s Prop 50 and stand up against Donald Trump’s fascist regime
Ah. A man of culture, I see.
You ever stop to think...we (Americans) are experiencing faux fascist country, all because Elon wanted to be a trillionaire but needed to make sure he killed all the investigations of fraud that were going on against Tesla? He wasn't kidding when he said "I'm screwed if Trump loses"

Doing this AFTER it's been officially declared a genocide is definitely a decision.
And she's VOCAL about it and has been the entire time. It's disappointing.
And apparently, they think all art is done by a single freelancer or small indie team of 5 people. Which...makes everything they say make sense. Also make sense as to why they don't understand why we think they're stupid
I've come to realize, they're entire thought process is built on CEO hype and genuinely not understanding creative fields. Some dude literally just said to me "well, one day art directors are gonna be irrelevant or they have to prove their worth. Ai will make them irrelevant"
Or work not being a slot machine. Or daily generation limits.
Also ...they never sat through a review where they absolutely hated what you did. So much so that, instead of long notes, they tell you what they didn't like, then move you on to something else and have someone else do it instead. (That happened to me once, I vowed "never again").
AI bros who think they're going to take an artist's job, never sat through a review where they said "this is almost perfect, just a few notes" and the meeting lasted an hour. So many small notes. So many "let's do it now on the call so we can see if it works."
Like...how do you fumble deals that were ALREADY MADE?!?!? Could've sat there, did nothing and took all the credit.
I remember in 2019 saying "one bad event is gonna show how weak the economy actually is." Then Covid happened. The economy has never actually recovered from Covid and AI is making it worse, while covering up how bad it is. Not to mention, certain people in power and their incompetence
That's the part that gives me hope. The fragility of their egos. And every world leader, thinks they're all a joke. It'll all be undone, but eventually
this is legit scary but it’s also the product of a paper thin administration that’s going to collapse under its own vanity

Just seen this on other lists so have to say it here:

indies, please do NOT give your back catalog to a "management" company whose entire pitch is "we'll schedule sales"

You can schedule your own sales, it takes a few hours every 6 months, some platforms even let you automate with a spreadsheet
Should've happened 2 years ago.
Are VCs screwed and money dries up for everyone OR do they get to sue and get their money back, because clearly AI is propped up on fraud? Does the government just let the bubble pop or do they force a bailout for an industry that SHOULD crumble?
That's a terrifying part. I think... it'll rip off the mask and show how bad the economy ACTUALLY is. But then... what happens with these companies that invested all the money into ai. Do the companies that went full throttle with it, higher back all or a portion of the employees they laid off?
