In this case I meant on the ClientOS itself. If I expose a folder on PC OS to other PCs in the home network, when I delete a file on that exposed share, MS should move that file into recycle bin on the PC that exposes the share. It doesn't have to cross network boundary.

Hey #Microsoft, how about making the Recycle Bin support deletes from a network share. I hate that anything you delete via a network share is gone forever without the use of Undelete tools. In fact, any delete cmd in the OS, no matter where it's coming from, should delete to the recycle bin imho!

Yeah, that's my point. We treat them as tools (for now), but these things are increasingly displaying agency. It will be stupid to keep calling it a tool name instead of recognizing them for what they are. ChatGPT is also a horrible name at this point imho.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
