Hypocrisy signals weakness and predicts failure.
The administration that spent the first half of 2025 telling us there was nothing wrong with coordinating literally classified war plans on Signal now is saying that it believes it’s a crime to post publicly available information on Signal.
I would like to know how my prior colleagues, who have chosen to pursue leadership positions under this charlatan, justify ordering agents to break their oaths of office and open investigations on people simply for exercising their legal rights.

Good luck gazing in the mirror when this is all over.

Tin-eared hypocrisy cometh before a downfall.
Trump: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident."

To avoid the possibility Holocaust remembrance might lead to empathy for migrants, Trump's antisemitism envoy claims Anne Frank "was in Amsterdam legally."

In reality, Margot Frank received a summons to go to a labor camp on July 5, 1942. After ignoring this call, they were in Amsterdam illegally.

One thing I found deeply moving about resistance in the Twin Cities was the universalism of loving your neighbor, the philosophy driving the opposition to the ICE/BP invasion. I couldn't help but notice the contrast with the blood and soil-ism of Miller and Vance. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

A NYT narration of the multiple angles of Pretti’s execution shows that he never posed a threat; that ICE brutally instigated violence and Pretti only sought to defend a prone woman; and that two ICE agents shot him 10 times in total.

Devastating. Horrific.

“At the end of the day,” Madel said, “I have to look my daughters in the eye and tell them, ‘I believe I did what was right.’ And I am doing that today.”
Keep pushing. The dam is breaking. — Republican Chris Madel made a stunning exit from the Minnesota governor’s race on Jan. 26, saying he cannot support the national GOP’s “stated retribution on the citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so.”
Chris Madel ends GOP bid for governor, says he can’t support federal ‘retribution’ against Minnesota
His exit comes as some other Republicans have started to distance themselves from the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the state.

Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan.

Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”

All politicians do performative acts of service.

Some choose to do pull-ups with soldiers while calling them "war fighters" and ignoring all of their worth and value other than hate and killing.

Some choose to participate in homeless sweeps, and revel in throwing away what little people have left.
