A statement regarding Unbound/Boundless.
Last week Unbound was scheduled to refund 8k of pledge money to people that had supported my book 'Singing Up the Sun'. Last week Unbound went into administration. Today I discovered the money won't be refunded. I'm mortified about the situation. I recommend you attempt to get refunds directly through your banks, credit card providers and Paypal etc. People are having some success with this approach. In the process of administration Unbound are rebranding as Boundless and sidestepping their debts to carry on business as usual. There are hundreds of authors who haven't been paid in over a year and now thousands of backers of book projects who won't be refunded. The whole thing is grotesque. I had hoped to take the project elsewhere but I'm starting with an 8k deficit of support and feeling reasonably broken about the entire shit show. For what it's worth I'm massively grateful for all the support and kind words I've received along the way. Thank you. x

🧵Thread. I collect photos that people took of their TV screens (in the days before video) because they wanted to capture a historical moment, or at least something that meant something to them.

Good grief.

EBay sellers are a different breed when it comes to record grading. I think I’m done with them…

*whispers* I don’t love it…

But it’s an enjoyable romp with some cool ideas. Well, a cool idea.

There’s also a risograph print featuring all the dancing goofballs.

‘Combining my love of folklore and stupid dances here are some linocut mummers. Mummers were (are) cavorting masked performers in folk play or mime often demanding food or booze for their efforts. The hare mummer is dancing like a goofball to the quiet bit in 'Blisters in the Sun'…’

In bed with the lurgy. Rather than my usual folklore themed Soviet fantasy films from the sixties I’ve discovered a nineties Dune 2 emulator. What a champ. 💪🏼

Ah yeah that’s true. I don’t tend to over clean my lino cut carves but this one definitely could’ve benefited from a bit more noise.
