Since February, according to my latest analysis, almost 600,000 Black women have been economically sidelined. The November 20, 2025, Jobs Report makes clear this isn’t a blip. It’s a structural crisis. That is not a recovery. It is a redistribution of opportunity.
The exit economy is here. Black Women are paying the highest price | Fortune

I always find this claim interesting because in 1900 about 2/3 of new yorkers lived in tenement buildings where a 325-450 sf apartment would routinely house 8-10 people
The free market kept manhattan affordable in the late 1800s and early 1900s
A fun thing about YIMBY dorks is that they are incapable of scrutinizing the hyper capitalist economic model that treats housing as a service that can only be solved via free market principles rather than a human right that may be at odds with endless profit and rent seeking

We never acknowledge how masterfully white supremacist billionaires managed to destroy social media as an organizer tool and completely atomized us. Twitter & tiktok had to be sold. Meta already belonged to them and this app here is a poor man's Twitter but coded to prevent educating and organizing

in my architect's newspaper oped from 2 years ago - i called point access blocks the higgs boson of housing.

but it's not just better housing that PABs unlock - it's also dense, walkable, and climate adaptive neighborhoods with a high quality of life.

Why does American multifamily architecture look so banal? Here’s one reason
Architect and founder of Larch Lab Michael Eliason makes the case for designing buildings with a single stair, or a Point Access Block.

For some reason, nobody mentions this, but Trump himself extended TPS to Venezuelan refugees in his first term, which continued under Biden; only to now villainize them, portray them as gangsters and killers, enemy number 1 to be mass deported, today. Really sick stuff.
This is the Trump admin's gift to the Florida GOP in exchange for their support during the campaign: an official policy that all Cubans and Venezuelans are inherently suspicious and should probably be denied immigration benefits.

We'll see how that goes over.

The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

These are all the non-retiring Dems up in 2026:
Merkley OR
Markey MA
Warner VA
Ossoff GA
Lujan NM
Booker NJ

Hickenlooper CO

None are in serious danger of losing a primary. That could change, but it's unlikely, and none have viable challengers making serious moves (Moulton doesn't count).
