Hey #portfolioday, I draw these little weirdos. For fun (apparently).

There should no one against this, if you are in the UK (like me) sign it! If it can get millions the press might start running with it and it'll put pressure on our gov to not simply ignore it!

Would anyone be interested in a small (A5ish) book of my insect illustrations once I reach 50 drawings? Or happy to wait another 10 years(ish) for me to reach 100 and do it as a proper large format book? Thoughts welcome...

Just a little reminder to enjoy the #art process. Something that colored pencils have taught me is the importance of taking the time that things need to be properly done, enjoying the slowness instead of feeling frustrated by it.

I'm very pleased to be booked in for my hernia op next week, but the upshot is that my Etsy shop will then be closed for about a week. So, if you had your eye on a Christmas present for a bug enthusiast, this week is the best time to place an order. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Mart...

This really is essential reading. Sadly, like most topics, those that really need to understand this will probably not engage.

Really looking forward to Black Friday, where everything is reduced back to the price it was before they all found out they could inflate the prices of everything.

My postcard sets make great gifts for bug enthusiasts who don't have enough wall space to display larger prints.

Spent a lovely couple of hours sketching dinosaur skellingtons at @morethanadodo.bsky.social today. My sketching style is ever so slightly looser than my insect drawing style. A bit.

For anyone that enjoyed the mantis I shared yesterday, here's the original thread where I shared some progress shots during its construction...
Metallic surfaces are fucken difficult. I'm about 5 hours in to this one.

Earlier this year I drew this magnificent Metallyticus splendidus. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. That's all.

Folks, buy this for your friends / family / anyone...
BISCUITS (Assorted) by Jenny Robins @jennyrobins.bsky.social - contains much that is moving and real and true, a beautiful love letter to London, to women, and to all the shapes and sizes that love and humanity can come in. Also VERY FUNNY. Like much funnier than I am making it sound. Loved it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Folks, I fear the only way to save the planet is to completely dismantle our concept of wealth. We invented money, and all it got us is shareholders and billionaires. We need a new system.

Panorama made a stupid editing mistake. But compare this to the deliberate and systemic attempt, sustained across years, to ensure that BBC output aligns ever more closely to the demands of economic power. Against your straw of bias, I raise you a haystack.
