This is also how they’ll cover him if he wins. Mamdani - all democrats who actually want to govern and fix things - need to understand the NYT politics team as a partisan force arrayed against them.
I genuinely wonder if anyone on the NYT editorial team looks at the Mamdani coverage in total and thinks "yeah, we got this one right"
The story on the eve of the election is basically reporters asking the public "is Mamdani experienced enough?"

No actual news.

🚨🚨Wow‼️In these times of uncertainty we need more Romeo’s in the world. He paid for people to eat for an hour and over 200 people were fed. This is the humanity and community we need right now. Bravo, Romeo‼️🔥💥🔥
Don’t agree with this. The need for local in depth reporting is greater than ever. Access to local radio is a loss, but in the grand scheme of things, having up to the moment reporting isn’t news.
@alfredtwu.com did you get the Alameda county ICE zine link?

Over the past 20 years, there is not a single major US newspaper that consistently told the truth about:

* The rise of US fascism
* The relationship between police racism and innocent Black folk

US News frames the world from the view of the violent minority, but expects the majority to subscribe.
A stat we don't talk about enough: Newspapers have lost 77% of their jobs over the last 20 year, more than any of the 532 other industries tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Ok, I guess it wasn’t clear to me from the context.
That framing of the issues is poor, but I think abolition is the solution.
Interesting about the bag. I have had some trouble internationally, but most places I was able to get a hand check still.

This is amazing. And it’s truly the stuff of nightmares.
I hear that the checked bag xray scanners are much stronger than the security line scanner, so you could try to keep it with you. There are also lead lined pouches you can get. This person says it takes a lot, but I feel like I’ve seen degradation after only a few. 🤷‍♂️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNEm...

The dream of every Muslim is simply to be treated the same as any other New Yorker.

And yet, for too long, we have been told to ask for less than that, and endure hatred and bigotry in the shadows.

No more.

dear US friends, when a sitting president (re)builds the seat of government, it almost always means the president has no intention of leaving at the end of term. your African friends with decades of experience
