Power engineer and project developer by recent trade, learner and amateur economist for fun.
Isn’t lying to Congress the pretext that Trump and the DOJ used to obtain the now-invalidated indictment against James Comey? By that measure, Noem lied her way to 3 life terms in prison today.
Ramirez to Noem: "You lied on the record and you lied to members of this committee. You violated court orders by not turning around deportation flights bound for El Salvador where we know that hundreds of people under your leadership reported they were raped, beaten, and nearly died."

Indiana has been totally defeated by Trump and his acolytes who are threatening to cut off federal funding if voters don’t pass a gerrymandered election map. Hoosiers should use their middle fingers to tell Trump he’s #1 🖕
Indiana (undefeated, #1 in the country, B1G Champs) is going to the Rose Bowl

Magaziner: How many US military veterans have you deported?

Noem: We have not deported military veterans.

Magaziner: We are joined on zoom by a gentleman who is an army combat veteran who was shot twice while serving our country. You deported him to Korea.

So we're basically wiping out 250 years of science, education, and progress for a man-baby in a diaper who is the living embodiment of the Dunning Kruger effect.
Yay.

The same kind of thinking that gets Tesla rated dead last in long term reliability. DOGE was a blunt, ill-conceived, disruptive failure that compromised our data, ruined hundreds of thousands of families' lives, and set back science and research by a decade. It also enabled unethical Musk grifts.
Elon Musk says DOGE was only 'somewhat successful' and he wouldn't do it again
Mega billionaire Elon Musk, in a friendly interview with his aide and conservative influencer Katie Miller, said his efforts leading the Department of Government Efficiency were only “somewhat success...

There is nothing Green can do to redeem herself. Think about the MTG arc: get elected, be an ineffective legislator, lie and undermine faith in democracy, receive inside information about policies and votes affecting stock prices, grift her way to $25 million in stock trades, resign.
Those who like Donald are always the last to realize he is a sociopath without any empathy, who has no concern for anyone other than himself.

The rest of us realized that a long time ago.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I sent those deaths threats directly to him in a text message & informed him of what his name calling & words were doing - it was a direct assassination threat on my son. And he was extremely - I won't repeat what he said - but it was extremely unkind. No sympathy. No care"

Marco Rubio is also not a serious Secretary of State. Sidelined by Trump and "America First", marginalized by career employees who know that he is powerless to defend them or make policy, and without a clue about what to do, he is presiding over the deflating carcass of a cabinet department.
We’re not a serious country
Mr. Rubio said switching back to Times New Roman would “restore decorum and professionalism to the department’s written work.” Calibri is “informal” when compared to serif typefaces like Times New Roman and “clashes” with the department’s official letterhead. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/09/u...

"Arbitrary and capricious" is one of the major understatements of 2025. Trump's views are irrational and illogical; he does not understand anything meaningful about the energy landscape. The sooner that he is in a personal negotiation with the fuel supplier for wind farms, the better off we will be.
Federal judge throws out Trump order blocking development of wind energy - The Boston Globe
Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell hailed the ruling as a victory for green jobs and renewable energy.

Tariffs are taxes. On US domestic consumers. Tariffs are a drag on the economy, lead to cancelled projects and job losses, and they do nothing to promote US manufacturing investment and jobs (because of the Trump administration's uncoordinated flailing and policy inconsistencies).
The only ‘dark and sinister forces’ here are the policies themselves.

The corruption is sickening, and right out in the open.

I thought I had seen it all in some sense in the 15 years I handled corporate fraud cases.

Nope. Staggering what this administration is doing. Just straight bribery (impeachable offense), corruption and grifting.

All of us suffer for it.

Cassidy has no excuse. He knew better but is Trump’s thrall. Excess deaths, suffering and misery are his responsibility, as are the profound setbacks to research that will be felt long after Trump and RFK are dead.
Cassidy knew exactly who Kennedy is & voted him. They all knew with every one of these people & did it anyway. It doesn’t end here. They plan to take all vaccines away on top of your healthcare. They do this knowingly & purposely. Trump’s administrations goal is to kill people. Watch what they do..
