Time to glue parts together starting with the engines. I first needed to thread through the wires for the running lights. Then I soldered red and green lighting 2mm tower LEDs in place. They’re clear when unlit. I did this for maximum brightness. Clear paint blocks some light.
A Daedalus class model’s engine and strut sit on a green hobby mat. A brass support rod and a set of green and black wires jut from the support. The wires are fed through the engine and out it’s front section. A 2mm tower LED is clamped with a green wire about to be soldered together. The lower portion of the LED is painted silver to block light anywhere but the tower and to also reflect the blocked light up through the tower. Below is the Daedalus class secondary hull and two attached engines.

They look like playskool toys, which makes it even funnier.

With a crew of astronauts that never do “archaic” things like salute.

Still waiting for that to start shipping because I refuse to pre-order anything.

Here is the post I was responding to.
A Facebook post featuring a rendering of a the TOS Enterprise casting a shadow on the Enterprise D. The text reads: Living Large in Space

The Enterprise-D is larger than the original Enterprise because it was designed for long-range, deep-space exploration, which required more crew facilities and living space to accommodate families. In contrast, the original Enterprise was more of a bare-bones warship designed for a more brutal time, and the Enterprise-D's increased size also enabled greater diplomatic and emergency evacuation capabilities.

[From Star Trek: The Original Series (1966) and Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), artist unknown.]

Best. Mike.

TFW Adam Nimoy agrees the original Enterprise was not a warship.
Facebook post that reads: It’s a mistake to call the TOS Enterprise a “Warship”. It was not designed to even have mounted weapons. That’s why they had to transfer ships power down to a cannon in The Cage. It’s also why when they finally decided they needed space weapons in Corbomite Maneuver they never really figured out a consistent spot for them to come out of. The TOS Enterprise is as much an explorer ship as the D, just built with the limitations of the time. As screen shot of a Facebook post’s likes. One of which is Adam Nimoy.

This is Moffat at his most Moffatty. Tucci is a despicable genius Moffat desperately wants you to respect. A ridiculous plot about how anyone could be as terrible as him. We couldn’t get past the smug stench of one episode.

I used to say “Think about music” in a robot voice to our kid and it made her laugh every time. She’s never see the episode. #TOSSatNight

Been watching the Mae Martin show "Wayward" and F me if Alyvia Alyn Lind isn't the spitting image of a young Denise Crosby.
Alyvia Alyn Lind at Wondercon seated in front of a microphone and a bottle of water with her hands interlocked in front of her chin. Tasha Yar drunk off her ass in Troi's quarters in "The Naked Now".

Everything bagel. If the place will do it olive cream cheese on one half, jalapeño cream cheese on the other. If I can only pick one schmear it’ll be jalapeño.

Tell me your bagel order and I will tell you *based on NYC cultural expectations* if you have won or lost your election for political office in NYC.

One of my favorite things about NYC is whenever anyone runs for office here they are required to disclose their bagel order.

I haven't since Requiem for a Dream and I'm ok with that.

I just listened to Pop Culture Happy Hour's take on Ares. It was mixed with some of them loving it and some just thinking it was meh. But all agree Jared Leto was the week point of the movie.

”Peaceful Coexistence” was Khrushchev‘s strategy for dealing with the West. Take that as you will.

It has been a long time since I saw this one, so I immediately watched after listening to your show. You’re completely right, it does go over differently as an adult. I was actually shocked how not cartoonish the Rozhenkos come off. They’re just regular parents worried about their kid.

Every season of SNW has to have a Spock high jinks episode, and this one came sooner than expected in Wedding Bell Blues. We'll discuss why Spock is only allowed to be funny in silly episodes and how disturbingly one sided Pike/Batel is. Then we'll tell you what we're binging lately!

Considering she didn't say a thing I didn't already know (and like) about him, I though this was satire at the point where she's fake typing on the keyboard. But you're telling me it's real?
