Part allegory, part slipstream rage of consciousness little piece I wrote last year about why you really have brain fog and what happens when AI takes an interest in gardening. You honor me by reading!

Dude knows about sixteen words
maressakate.bsky.social
“We could’ve eaten it if it was younger and not quite so drippy,” the largest says, pulling a face of regret.
Isn’t that just life, you think, a soporific sigh escaping what might once have been your lips.

The cover of a magazine in Halloween colors with a spooky aesthetic. An eerie painting of a woman sitting on a chair graces the cover. She is not smiling.

I swear not all of my short story titles are Article + Noun + Verb + Adjective (or dismantlingly dark), but this one, at least, has a lil ray of light at the end (in the form of a waste chute but still...!)

If you want to see a really great use of repetition of word/phrase, you should check out this story.

@maressakate.bsky.social nails a vibe and voice, and her theme is on point for the world we are being reluctantly driven towards by our tech lords.

A little story of mine (I have 15 out in 2025)

Just started working my way through stories from fellow authors in "What Lurks: A Cryptid Anthology" geni.us/whatlurks

Gio Clairval's @gioclair.bsky.social is a banger. Story of runaway teenagers who get trapped in an eerie tunnel, told in the style of found footage and police records. Amazing.

Thrilled to be a repeat offender in Trollbreath Magazine, alongside some really special stories. This was one that extruded out in one long exhale (read: silent scream).
The Machines Are Hungry (please don't feed them!)

I have a short (short) piece in this issue, a work of slipstream, inspired by *gestures vaguely all around*…
The Machines Are Hungry. Please don’t feed them.

Over the moon to share that I am now represented by the wondrous Susan Armstrong at C&W. It’s been a wild ride these last few weeks, approaching this terminus at high speed after five years of striving/toiling/hoping (and clearly I don’t know what to do with my hands just yet)…

...unbelievably, irrepressibly vague !! 👀

Came here to say that this piece is deliciously out there and fresh as hell.

3 AM typing marathon. Heart racing. Not inspiration -- just forgot to eat again. The muse: not bad to look at but a terrible roommate.

Many have said that When Shadows Grow Tall has A Wizard of Earthsea sensibility.
