See. Now I feel my view of The Crow may be tainted by my love of the source material, of which the film offers a very tattered version of. “Robocop for Goths” is certainly narratively *neat*, but lacks the introspection of O’Barr’s comic. Still rather fascinated to watch the Cowboy Cut.

Crow has an amazing soundtrack. Will always be culturally important, especially considering it’s Brandon Lee’s last film, but cinematically? I feel DC lays some amazing groundwork for things like the matrix, sin city.. and just.. sort of folds on this European fantasy (like Jeunet) like a fondant
