And I think they paid attention to the survey results from a few months back. Obviously they didn’t develop Hercules and Pocahontas in that amount of time- they were ready to go- but it probably greatly helped them decide what to roll out next.

They dropped so much fun stuff in the livestream today- I'm looking forward to everything from the goose, skunk, and bee companions, to Sven coming in the deluxe bundle, and everything in between. I was really not excited about the horses until the live showed what they can do.

#DisneyDreamlightValley bringing both Pocahontas and Hercules to the game next year is exactly what this Millennial needed to hear today.

Somewhere, the library staff is like, "There's this Daryl on his Myrna Loy bullshit again."

Anyway, this is your regular reminder that libraries rock, are absolutely essential, and you should use them often!

I’m chipping away at research for two projects- fiction and non-fiction- and my local library is continuing to put up with my dozens of requests for books and articles as I request books about boy bands and 1935 articles from the Hollywood Reporter.

still really proud of this piece - I wrote it before the theft software we've been falsely calling "A.I." became ubiquitous, but I think it still outlines all the ways these ghoulish processes are an affront to the dignity of the living and the dead.

Sorry I’m so weird - I ate a lot of these when my brain was supposed to be forming

Realizing that, as an adult, at least 20% of your day is spent figuring out what to eat, preparing it to eat, and actually eating.

Question about this- it seems like the Marvel line is leaning more into these rather than HasLabs. Do you know if there will ever be another Marvel HasLab?

Me: Wow, I haven’t heard back from the National Archives about my research request in weeks!

Then I remembered Republicans would rather keep the government shut down than prevent soaring healthcare costs and releasing the Epstein files.

The first Fallon could have carried the show, especially after they deepened her character. However, I totally respect Pamela Sue Martin just wanting to live a normal life and leaving the show. Amanda was always a throwaway character to me. They didn't know what to do with Steven. Adam was a POS.

Listen, I LOVE Dynasty. I rewatch it regularly (@pluto.tv makes it easy!). But Blake Carrington, ostensibly positioned as the protagonist of the show, comes off as such a consistent villain to me. Like...what a shitbag of a person.

Also, cast your net wide. You know there were a million variety shows. I would go after the big ones and see what materials there were. Did the Smothers Brothers donate their papers to a library or archive? What about Carol Burnett?

That would be a good place to start. If individual studios have a historian on staff- you could also tap them. But I feel corporations have started to get rid of positions such as that, so start with a museum. If you can find out who a designer was- see if they wrote a book.
