Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. Idea: whenever the country is shut down, all members of Congress should be locked in the Capitol until they vote to open it again. Any member who is not inside the Capitol immediately loses their seat, and the governor of that state can appoint an emergency replacement member.
