The ACA mandates that all health insurance plans must cover all vaccines recommended by the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

So what happens when they're no longer recommended is they're no longer required to be covered.

Other rules elsewhere are also tied to ACIP.
ACIP, CDC, and Insurance Coverage of Vaccines in the United States | KFF
This brief provides an overview of vaccine coverage requirements by payer or program, as they relate to ACIP and the CDC.

Let's be very clear that one of the major effects of the CDC no longer recommending various vaccinations is that it becomes much harder for folks who still want to be—or want their children to be—vaccinated to get their insurance providers to cover those vaccinations.

Hey websites, just so you know, when you make it impossible to report a bug in your code, that code stays there and continues to effect your users!

I am so sick of having to go through whole gauntlets just to make anyone aware of a glaring issue

I’m old enough to remember the strike that happened a whole year ago because companies like Netflix claimed they don’t have enough money to pay residuals to actors for their work. Netflix has $82 Billion to buy Warner Bros.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

I'd like to once again say "I called it" and "I told you so" and also "Holy crap this is bad news that all these IPs are being owned by less and less companies over time."
Netflix has made the highest bid to buy Warner Bros so far.

This is one of the "freeloaders" and not only are they stopping her benefits they want all the money paid to her for her disability. The cruelest people ever assembled are in our WH.
Pittsburgh mom ordered to pay back $63K to Social Security by Friday. Now she fears jail time, separation from disabled adult son. Is this common?
Here's what to do if this happens to you.

“When participants used ChatGPT to draft essays, brain scans revealed a 47% drop in neural connectivity across regions associated with memory, language, & critical reasoning.

Their brains worked less, but they felt just as engaged—a kind of metacognitive mirage.”🧪

A singer-songwriter friend would like people to know that while boycotting Spotify is great, it was also 16% of their income that is now cratering. So if you're cancelling Spotify, please pair that with buying music, merch, or live tickets directly from your favorite artists

The one thing that continues to confound me when it comes to these studios not wanting to disclose genAI usage:

I thought you didn't have a problem with genAI? I thought you thought it was great? Why aren't you okay with bragging about it? Are you full of shit? Is that bragging just for investors?

Showing people that they aren't alone should not be reserved for times when things work. Queer rights for one, many older queer people truly never thought they'd see an accepting world, but did that stop them from fighting for it? Ofc not. Fighting is the most important when you think you'll lose.

Also worth stepping back and noticing that higher ed, for more than a century, has been almost *designed* to be a physical and mental health ordeal. Filtering people out has been feature not bug.

We need to be able to see that the line "accommodations have gone too far" is an expression of the ableist notion that disabled students do not belong in higher ed. Its fundamentally an anxiety about the fact that disabled students get an "advantage" over abled students.

"Text that nobody reads" why are you putting it in the game then. Why are you assuming your players won't want to interact with the environment you've created. It seems a lack of faith in their world building, or their audience, both of which are troubling.

Stop using AI for placeholder assets.
Use sketches. Use lorem ipsum. Use bright pink materials. Use programmer art for fucks sake, literally anything else.
If your studio is using AI even for temp, even if they think they've covered their tracks, SPEAK UP because people WILL FIND IT
