My usual reminder that the DNC is run by conservatives. You don't get to be in a position of power in a multi-billion-dollar corporate enterprise without being a conservative. The people making the important decisions for the Democratic Party are mostly Republicans.

The institutional Democratic Party is basically a vehicle for rich donors to make sure that when public backlash to terrible Republican policies causes Republicans to lose, the opposition does as little damage to rich people’s interests as possible and cedes power back as quickly as possible
