1500w is *not* fast boil by British Kettle standards. That's a basic kettle.

My kettle is 3000w.
I've yet to start Hades 2. On the list. Adored Hades 1.
Yeah, it sucks.

I think it’s worth adding that this isn’t uncommon at all.

They will spend more on union busting than they would have to pay if a union is formed. And plenty of other examples.

It’s all about preventing the precedent it would set, and how it would impact their control and power.
this is the telling thing about all the billionaire hysteria

they would literally rather set more money on fire propping up the most uncharismatic sex pest who ever lived than they’d pay in additional taxes

these are not serious people

In the beginning the ballroom was going to cost $200 million.

Earlier this morning he increased the cost to $300 million.

2 hours ago the price of the ballroom went up to $350 million.

We should witness a double ballroom by this weekend.
Caerphilly does it now.

(What? It's 06:40 and I've already been awake for an hour. That's the best Dad pun you're getting outta me today.)

In the playground and there's a young lad, maybe 4, explaining in absolute seriousness to 2 of his friends that you "cannot touch a polar bear on the neck."

The young are wise.

Badenoch reading Vimes' Boots Theory of Socio-economic Unfairness and thinking how much more economic growth comes from making poorer people buy cheap boots over and over

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.
