I refused to call her C.C., short for "crazy cat" just because my brother didn't like how she was scared all the time.

She grew to be a very sweet, neurotic baybee. She wasn't crazy. She was my Cici.

I was tempted to just get a new cat, but I realized I don't miss having a cat. I miss MY cat, and there was and never will be a cat like Cici.

I wish it were that simple, lol. I'm a people pleaser to a fault.

I LOVED working on these! Loved creating what hasn't been created yet that I wanted to see!

But with ALL the effort I put in, sharing it got me very little feedback, which makes me think it was all in vain.

I'm trying to be better.

Aaaa I hope people like it, even if they've seen it before. I spent very manic weekends working on them, so to put so much effort into something for it to be ignored will kill my self-esteem again, hence the anxiety.

Thank you so much! I think I will. I worked really hard on what I drew that got zero traction on DeviantArt, so I'm kind of nervous about it on bsky too.

A second dose of "no thanks" would break my heart again. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to make sure it doesn't happen again

Thank you! I've gotten a lot of encouragement, but I kinda doubt that art will get much traction, so I have to go in expecting a lackluster response.

It makes me feel like I failed people who like my art, so I'm going to do so very carefully to preserve my self-worth.

Old. My second real attempt at #yoshi animation.

I did this after my mom bought me a light board for my birthday. I made this, realized I was terrible at it, and kind of gave up, lol. I have absolutely no training in animation, though I wanted to be an animator when I grew up.

Yeah... after being stupidly popular for some reason from 1998 to 2007, I'm a bit sensitive now when I post art and get zero attention about it.

The only humanoid art I got a good reception to was Street Fighter art. Everything else? Duds. Almost zero interactions. :( So disappointing.

Hell yeah! I take sleep aids, and when they wear off at, like, 3am, I doze. I can't go SUPER back to sleep, so it's more like lucid dreaming.

Last night, I dreamt I was playing Pokemon, and I learned a way to transfer Gen 3 to Gen 6! Then I woke up and realized you could always do that. 😝

Thank you. ❤️ She had to learn what love was besides a human in a bed, but that's a whole other story.

I knew her 19 years, 6 of which were actually with me, so she had at least 6 years where she wasn't hiding under a bed.
