A time to reflect. With a game left in Round 10, we’ve an overall lead of 6 [or 5 if Sunderland win]. We lead our closest title rivals by 6 & 7 points. No title claim in that: it just shows how consistency at this stage could help us carve out a real margin. November is critical to this end. #COYG

With all respect, MØ moving to Barcelona would currently represent a downgrade. After his Madrid experience, having found a “home” after many years toiling on loan, I can’t see him giving up his position and life at Arsenal: especially not while he maintains captaincy and first-choice status.
"The midfielder in question is Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard. The former Real Madrid man is on Barcelona’s shortlist say Indykaila, and say that they will move for him in the summer of 2026. They believe the Norwegian is ready for a major career change at the age of 26 currently." 🤣🤣🤣

I see some of the papers are trying to blame Arsenal for Palace's fixture pile-up.

More on site later.

And there is a certain irony in Dyche, of all managers, leading the charge. But then (and insert the Dyche Disclaimer here) he's always been a smart cookie and given the volatility of his chairman, his comments earn him a few brownie points in the internal politics of his current club.

And now come the calls for *more* VAR in the game. You can't re-ref every damn decision.

Like I said, I thought at the time that the corner Arsenal scored from wasn't a corner. Might be wrong - haven't seen a replay. But that's the breaks. That's the damned game.

7 points clear. 9 games won on the bounce. 7 without conceding a goal. 6 of those without even conceding a shot on target.

they genuinely might be becoming the best Arsenal team of my lifetime. i’m 35.

Not much of a second half but we did more than enough in the first half to deserve it.

Great 1st 45 from Gyokeres, and thought Declan Rice was everywhere for Arsenal in the second.

3 points.
Clean sheet.
Job done.

That second half was more evidence that big Vick is important in games when #arsenal get a lead. Little transition threat once he went off. Eze looks tired.
Lots of discussion last week about Eze being key against mid and low table teams. In the same vein, Gyokeres looks like he's going to torture teams that go behind early and have to open up even a little, which was something we really needed.

This Arsenal side have now matched George Graham’s famous team, who hold the club record for the most successive wins without conceding in all competitions - seven between September and October 1987.

That could have been any score we wanted. We completely stepped off in the 2nd half and that’s ok. Preserve energy and move on.

The schedule is busy 👌

Declan Rice was sensational.

Just hope Gyok was rested + isn’t injured 🙏

Great win 🙌

Have an absolutely irrational dislike of Fabian Hurzeler, I’m sure he’s a pleasant enough chap but he smirks… a lot & not in response to something funny, he does it when he’s talking mid sentence, like he’s farted or he just finds himself hilarious & can’t help himself, never trust a smirker #lufc

Excellent summary again! And I’m glad you addressed the wildly polarising tiger-fleece issue. Don’t be swayed though: those who set foot in the arena, deserve to be warm!

Mikel Arteta has told Ben White he will get enough opportunities at Arsenal to break into England’s World Cup squad.

“If Ben wants to do that, if Thomas believes he is the right player to do so, I am so happy for him.”

Mikel is not afraid of title buzz: “That's what we want. I think when our people are excited and when we see that the team is competing at the level, consistently, they are the right reasons to believe and that's the main thing.” #AFCBelieve

Nail on the head. It’s contextual. On its own there’s nothing wrong with the original graphic or post. But set against the backdrop of the criticism of Arsenal for being nothing more than a defensive set piece team it reads differently. We are those things. But we’re more than that.

“Here’s how many points Carlos Alcaraz would have won if aces didn’t count.”

“Here’s the Six Nations standings if only tries and conversions counted.”

I really need Arsenal to make the football media cry at the end of the season.

Im no Arsenal fan and think all football fans have a persecution complex but I think they’re right here. It’s very common (disingenuous) charge online that their success at *all* set pieces somehow cheapens their wins and I do think the graphic is nodding at that
