You're at a business event. ~1% of the attendees have (intentionally) shit themselves, and are waiting for you to ask them about the smell.

This is how it feels to use LinkedIn.

I'm so sorry I can't stop laughing. OpenAI, the company built on stealing literally the entire internet, is crying because DeepSeek may have trained on the outputs from ChatGPT. They're crying their eyes out. What a bunch of hypocritical little babies. Cry more, freaks.

this is WILD

i asked Claude to check a writer's article for plagiarism

it listed multiple examples + the sites it had plagiarised

so i asked for links to check for myself... and the AI admitted it just "made assumptions of plagiarism and stated them as facts"

"YouTube sees this feature as the first step toward making it easier for creators who want companies to train AI on their videos, and perhaps be compensated for that training."

Why would people opt in on the basis that they'd perhaps, maybe, be compensated one day in the future?
"Third-party training" -> YouTube adds a tool to let creators authorize third parties, including Amazon, Anthropic, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI to train AI models on their videos

"From a new setting w/in YouTube Studio creators will be able to opt in to this new feature..."
YouTube will now let creators opt in to third-party AI training | TechCrunch
YouTube on Monday announced it will give creators more choice over how third parties can use their content to train their AI models. Starting today,

A very small amount of people are like tidal waves. You can try to become one, or you can learn to ride along.

Most people are like the beach. They just sit watching everyone else's wave, and it makes them wet when they crash.

I've been binging 'Ghost Town Living' on YT; fascinating how the mining industry thrives massively for such short periods of time, and then...nothing. Everyone leaves.

It reminds me of blogging...and tweeting about it

From just me to a team of 30 and back down again...except for one hire I didn't even advertise for.

I got a special feeling after receiving an application one day and took a chance.

We didn't do video reviews...but then we did.

And it worked.

Are digital PR linkbuilding campaigns still a thing?

As in, the idea of creating a viral asset, doing outreach and getting links?

Or did everything change?

Is YouTube important for you? I'm now consistently seeing this across accounts, and via incognito. Clicking YouTube videos in the 10-blue links triggers the "In this video" feature in the SERPs (you are NOT taken to YouTube). Instead, the video opens up a new screen in the SERPs with the video...
