Indeed all this evidence does is give a motive.
It’s worth noting that Pretti didn’t seem to “spit on officers” but on the side of a closed car. He kicked a car twice and spat at it. Even the response AT THE MOMENT was shockingly disproportionate - attacking a whole crowd. And if he was somehow killed for it, it’s 100% first degree murder.
