Ultimately, we are not drowning in alternatives right now, and Bandcamp remains a very good option. But I would argue that more options would be better.
You don't want to have to kick yourself if the basket you put all you eggs in suddenly explodes someday :P

I agree and commented on that video regarding the need for the terms to be broad enough to protect Bandcamp's operations.

I don't think people's concern is a matter of money though.
It's a fear of terms being a potential ticking bomb.

Since the terms are vague, they could *become* a problem.

Simply put, their terms are too vague.

Specifically, they mention that you waive the right for the to use their music from any purposes of theirs (like using a clip from your music in their ads), and that these rights extend to affiliated companies (including their owner Songtradr).

Songtradr's catalog search refuses to work on my end, but this youtuber's Bandcamp catalog is indeed available for licencing from Songtradr, without his consent other than Bandcamp's EULA.

I can't wait for mine to show up! I've been hoping for some acoustic sounds to go with my Octatrack and Digitone 2. I can't wait to get into the multisampling!
Also, drum machines per track? MultiFX buses? First time I buy something so fast. It had a bullet with my name on it.

I think it's important to know that music on Bandcamp gets pulled by their parent company Songtradr.

They then licence it to companies without your explicit consent, and without giving you a cent of that transaction.

Your point still stands, but we need an alternative to Bandcamp fast.
