Anyone know about radio controlling live steam locos? This newbie has some queries; can I pair a new transmitter with an existing receiver etc? Will one transmitter do for multiple locos or do I need one for each? What brand or model would you recommend? Thanks

We had quite an array of surprise samples at Railex last month. So, we thought we would recap what was on show throughout this week, just in case you missed the event.
Let's kick it off the same way we started our epic announcements, with this wicked 3D print of the HR Loch Class.

ooh shes rather a wonderful thing!
Any idea when exactly this one would have been made? its older than I first thought because in Mark Founds The Garden Railway (made in what? 2001?) they show one thats clearly newer generation than this one!

On the anniversary of The Battle of Cable Street, let us remember that the Daily Mail was cheering on Fascists then and continues that proud tradition today.

Bubble bubble, boil and trouble…

No, we’re not being seasonal now that it’s October… Say hello to our latest acquisition, the last surviving CIÉ ‘cement bubble’ wagon.
Roundhouse Lady Anne, cat for scale
I've still to pick up a copy of your Locomotives of the Liverpool and Manchester, will do in the next few weeks, I'm fascinated to know what is known about the engines between Rocket and Northumbrian
ooh the BCDR atlantic tank is a beauty! does she run on a regular basis? 5 inch?
On Thursday I had the honour of returning Jenny Lind to the main line, admittedly 152 times too small and on the London Chatham and Dover rather than the Brighton but no less a win
Take a drink every time you see a different scale of Kerr Stuart Sirdar at Rapido Railex!

Fun fact: the one on the right is actually older than the one on the left

We do a lot of Scottish stuff, but people keep asking us about blue Scottish engines, so here's one the designers dreamed up....

I'll be posting a Cyberman portrait every day this week! Starting with The Tenth Planet, this is a collaboration with @themindrobber.bsky.social who did most of the sculpting work. Rendered in #Blender3D
presumably though information seems thin on the ground (I must have been dozing off to sleep to type 'french fancy' 'Belgian Beauty'?)

Och aye, it's the Loch!
Following up on our Highland Railway 'Big Goods' 4-6-0 is the last of David Jones' designs, the Loch Class 4-4-0.
15 of these handsome locos were built in 1896, with a further 3 in 1917. The last was withdrawn in 1950.
