Quentin Tarantino just helps to prove that just because someone maybe good at a skill this case film making dose not mean they are good at talking about it. There are a lot of people put on pedestals but they probably should be way more quiet.

some days I wish I could lead an AAA team because I have some big games ideas that’d take a studio to do right, but also I understand I‘d be eaten alive by office politics or get the project cancelled when I tell a money person that the reason they can’t understand the games appeal is a skill issue

Appreciate this is aimed at a narrow audience but...

On Jan 11 2026 I will be talking about electronic games from the 1980s at the Video Game History Museum in Zagreb, Croatia.

Based on my book, From Coin-Ops to Table-Tops.

Would love to take this same talk elsewhere... to UK museums?

Yeah. Sometimes, behind all the bellowing and bluster and fluency in social justice verbiage, you might observe a person’s behavior and realize their vision of justice is just “When is it my turn at the top? When is it my turn to do the violence?”

A massive problem today is the uneven distribution of shame. Some of us are running dedicated on-site shame servers 24/7 while others have no access to shame at all, even though they desperately need it. What we need to do is put shame in the cloud

Layoffs have hit over 1.1M so far this year — the most since the pandemic.

Yet corporate profits continue to hit record highs, with corporations increasingly spending those earnings on stock buybacks to enrich execs and shareholders.

This is what a rigged economy looks like.

My son had eaten not even an hour ago and I told him we weren’t stopping to get food….We drove past a billboard that says “ 1 in 5 children experiences hunger” and this boy says “And I’m the 6th one” 😭😭😭😭😭😭
My child asked me to order wingstop. I said no cuz her mama had JUST told me they had a bunch of food while she was with her. I tell this nigglet to go make a sammich or something, tell me why she look at me and say “if you hate me just say that 🙄”. Lil spoiled mf 😭 reverse psychology is CRAZY 🤣

After Netflix execs dismantled their AAA games studio in 2024, because they believe those types of games are too risky, I am big time worried about WB Montreal, NetherRealm, Avalanche and Rocksteady.

“it’s is a medium for children.”
Has it occurred to you that the people who make the funding decisions are made by execs who think (and act) like children?
The problem isn’t that games can’t tell good stories. They absolutely can.
It’s who gets to tell them.
