Apropos of nothing important, why has American cheese - cheap trash IMO - become so hip? Many places where I might otherwise have a sandwich or burger insist on using it. There is no dish for which cheddar wouldn’t be a massive upgrade. Now the NYT recommends American atop your mac and cheese!

Q: “Are you affirming you think Trump is a fascist?”

TRUMP: “That’s ok, you can just say yes.”

Over the past few years, the Roberts’ court has made excessive gerrymandering easier to get away with.

Will they uphold the gerrymandering rules they created? Or will they let Texas’ racial gerrymandering slide?
The Texas gerrymandering case is a test of the Supreme Court's integrity
Do the justices have any rules they won't let Republicans break?

The hubris is in taking the job with zero criminal law experience. Then, to initiate extremely high-profile prosecutions where your every move will be scrutinized is asking for likely embarrassment. This is a triple-A pitcher switching sports and starting as QB in the Super Bowl.
New in PN: Lindsey Halligan's bad bad week

"It was already painfully obvious that Trump’s pet prosecutor is entirely out of her depth, with both of her big splashy political prosecutions spiraling out of control. This week, though, it became clear she'd be overmatched prosecuting a jaywalker."

NEW: The three-judge district court, on a 2-1 vote, denied Texas's stay request in the redistricting case, meaning this will likely be going up to SCOTUS shortly. (Judge Jerry Smith, unsurprisingly, would have granted the stay.) storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

President Trump "recently shared a photo of a White House bathroom that he had renovated by covering everything in marble. What Americans need is a president who is more focused on the cost of toilet paper," the editorial board writes.
Opinion | Trump Promised Lower Prices. His Policies Are Raising Them.
From the day he took the oath of office, the president has pursued policies that are making life in America less affordable.

Just heard a great description of the difference between messaging mastery on the right vs the left: The right is functioning as a marching band, while the left is having a music festival. We lack the coordination that makes the right’s messaging so much more successful.

The government overclassifies info between 75 and 90% of the time, even the head of the 9/11 commission (a Republican) said so.

Christmas emails have been classified. Pizza toppings have been redacted. The gender of a dog was deemed a national security secret.

Yea. Classification will be abused.
The bill only forces the release of unclassified information.

Pass it on.
