When you consider the power Palantir wields, this isn't funny -- it's alarming. These "meritocracy" tech-bros exist in a cult-like bubble while talking like they're in week 1 of a freshman philosophy class and are high af.

It was always a money grab.
"Corn ethanol requires millions of acres that could instead be used for food crops or more efficient energy sources. One recent study found that solar panels can generate as much energy as corn ethanol on roughly 3% of the land."
Corn’s clean-energy promise is clashing with its climate footprint
Corn dominates U.S. farmland and fuels the ethanol industry. But the fertilizer it relies on drives emissions and fouls drinking water.

Jarring to live in a real world where I and all those with whom I associate work to earn money for food shelter and a whisper of security.

And then watch this go on day after day after day.

They are beating people who maybe once had a broken taillight and sending them to foreign slave prisons while freeing the worst fraudsters and every corrupt pol. The juxtaposition is so stark and appalling.
NEW: The commutation Trump issued to David Gentile wipes away all further fines & restitution.

Gentile had been sentenced to 7 years for his role in a $1.6B scheme that defrauded thousands of investors.

Prosecutors had been seeking $15.5M in forfeiture.

Prepare to defend trans and queer people
every trans person i see post about the OU suspension knows that the suspended target is trans & a grad student, & has an innate awareness that this is about purging trans employees. every cis person i see thinks the target is a rando professor & that this is about giving conservatives good grades

Appropriate response to so many leading this planet:

“I have found - I have experienced - new dimensions of volatility and energy power from a new resource, which is my contempt for you.”

A quote from Joanna Macy aimed toward the death cult running far too much.

Things are getting weird on LinkedIn. I kind of love it. It’s a good weird.

Someone posted about how all jobs are worthy & I posted an agreement and a comment ending with “The people united will never be defeated!”

A white tech dude answered back Assata Shakur to me.

We are the great turning!

This is why fascists oppose gender-affirming care.
Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.

even if she is lying (and we have no reason to think she’s stopped being racist or bigoted or antisemitic), the nature of her lie is notable: it shows us she thinks the permission structure for acceptable public behavior and rhetoric is changing. She’s never been dim, so she’s changing too.
I'm actually shocked. Good on Dana Bash for asking the question, and I genuinely would not have expected Greene to answer the way she did.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.
