I've got nine wool hats to block before Christmas, but I am hesitating because every time I block a hat, it grows. These are perfect as is. Any tips for keeping the stitches from stretching out? (P.S. the pom-poms snap on, and I will remove them before blocking.) #knitting 🧶

Ok, one more post before I go back to my Day Job 😁
Last week was Polymer Claycation, and I made some things that I am really very happy with. These are those things. I'll be selling at some local shows over the next month, but what's left will go in the shop.

All Neil wants for Christmas is a few hundred new subscribers. Might one of them be you? ❤️💚
In light of the astronomical increases for my health insurance next year, I thought it would be a good time to encourage people to subscribe. (A few hundred should cover it. Sigh.)

I posted on a forum today, about a project I was having fun working on, and someone responded with a detailed explanation of how I can use an LLM to do the work for me. Um, no. Using my brain is the point. Having a final result that reflects my personality is the point. Also, did I ask for help? No.

I wrote about making coffee this week.

“Throw your coffee scale away. Coffee is made by feel. Coffee is made with your heart. Coffee is made with your chest, not with a scale. Fill the grinder to the top. Press down on it and grind those beans like you’re grinding a fascist’s bones.”
