I mean it'd be difficult to get something this wrong... wouldn't it?
If someone was stupid enough to read the 51 asylum-seekers as the cases *by* asylum seekers and the 116 as the total sexual offences in Dorset they'd get a % that was...
44%.
So I'd bet that's what happened.

How does it work... did Katie Lam have to get agreement from her party before putting forward the Immigration and Visas Bill?

Kind of feels like a big deal that a Reform/Brexit Party former MEP has been convicted of taking bribes to promote Russian interests in Ukraine, and it feels like a bigger deal that this isn’t being treated as the major scandal that it clearly is.

Top 3 for me (all joint with 88%). A better outcome than I expected. I'm pleased. They each have their charm 🤍 (maybe I need to lighten up a bit though)

It's a great piece. I was in Shirley, Solihull yesterday and there were flags all down the High Street. This video made me wonder, are the organisers as grass routes as they say they are?

It has been pointed out that some of the long quotes in that piece go unchallenged - and that is a point well made. The article is not faultless. Don't take what is quoted at face value.
But it is the best account I have read as a Brummie of what is quite a striking phenomenon.

I really don't think I could risk going to Trump's America. I take heart mediation too, and to be without it could result in death like it did here.

It's a shorter distance to the used teabag dish than to the bin so there's less dripping and spillage, no? 🫖
The custom I don’t understand - but still do - leaving tea bags out in a little pot by the sink before putting them in the food recycling bin.
Like an official period of lying in state before the funeral.

NOTHING will prepare you for this 45-second story arc. From "I'm just doing this because I love the flag, it's totally grassroots, and I'm not part of anything political"... to who actually gave him the flags the night before.
Anyone who believes it is an innocent movement needs to see this.

Milton Keynes tonight for Inside No9 Stage Fright tour. Was a bit apprehensive as it's more husband's thing than mine (I bought him tickets for his birthday) but absolutely loved it, thanks

Farage tells Congress that the Trump admin should "debate" the UK govt over the Online Safety Act's impact on "American individuals".
So Farage, who wants to be UK prime minister, is advising another country's govt to act against our own for the apparent interests of their citizens, not our own.

I'm a bit behind in finding out that our local Police and Crime Commisioner (PCC) has defected from Conservative to Reform. What are the rules about this? Do we get a revote?

I know facts are boring, but the National Drought Group is hardly the "British government" - it's an expert panel that advises on droughts and is made up of the Met Office, government, regulators, water companies, the National Farmers’ Union, Canal & River Trust, anglers, and conservation experts.
