What HE managers fail to understand is that in the context of the Humanities, ‘employability’ isn’t teaching coding or carpentry, but skills around writing, presenting, reasoning, evaluation, analysis, research etc. In an 80% service economy, these are the skills that fundamentally matter.

Also - if you’re only building a coalition with people who agree with you on everything… your Coalition of One isn’t gonna go anywhere, friend. 🤷‍♀️

I would just like to remind everyone that children turn 18 during their last year of high school/secondary school.

Even if we manage to keep this to “verified adults” (which is dubious), having ChatGPT live in your classroom is now even more of a liability than it was before.

when I got pregnant I told my husband our gift to our kid would be therapy for ourselves. he got a therapist & has been working with him since. he went on to be the one to advocate for couples counseling & therapy for our daughter. he’s a total believer now & I love him for it.

Most autistic humans were never taught what healthy love looks like.

A PTSD survivor once told me running trails kept her from mentally checking out.

“The sound of my feet hitting dirt was like a drum. It kept me here.”

Running gives you rhythm—a steady cadence when your thoughts go haywire.

Even a mantra like “I am safe” or “Just one step” can anchor you.

It'd be weird for CPTSD survivors to experience what we have, & NOT struggle w/ hopelessness or suicidal ideation. The world struggles to accept or respond to that very common symptom w/ realism & support-- but it's real important WE not shame ourselves for it or overreact to it.

Any police officer who vows to quit depending on the results of an election is openly admitting that they are partisan, that they swore an oath but it was conditional, and that they believe the work they do as law enforcement is tied to a particular political party.

All of these are damning.
