Louis XIV also had a group of courtiers to watch him shit in the mornings
you'd better eat that one so nobody knows
if the off ramp from 94 still closed near Franklin?
well, that does it, I'm voting for Jazz
Nice! I went there on study abroad a hundred years ago. The castle looks the same
But did any of the candidates live in Minneapolis at the time? I see Fateh was born in D.C. and Frey in Arlington, VA

I’ll bet you never heard of an incredible weather event that happened 34 years ago on this very date, one so rarely mentioned yet so epic in scale, seemingly unknown to younger Minnesotas who lean forward with anticipation and excitement as survivors begin the tale of a Halloween blizzard that
A bunch of people died in that one so it probably wasn’t as much fun to reminisce
Yes, but now that I've searched I see they hung out a bit and all that.
did Chilton ever comment on this tribute?

I saw this elsewhere and it seems like they're basing this on the number of Orkin calls. But how many of those calls were actually about rats? They could have been about squirrels. Or mice. We are the gopher state! Maybe people had troublesome gophers

you can just bike up this highway ramp
dang, I shoulda done it. A nice view!
sounds kind of like main character syndrome?
Minneapolis folks, have any of you walked on the off-ramp from 94 to Hennepin while it's been closed for construction? Looks like I missed my chance to check it out. Did you take pictures?
good color but passed quickly. B+
looks like it’s gonna be a good one
I’m often glad I had the chance to live abroad and experience being a person who doesn’t speak the majority language perfectly. It can be pretty uncomfortable but it taught me not to be a shitbird.

The good news is, you don’t actually have to go to France for this
I would rather live next door to someone who speaks another language than live next door to someone who doesn’t want to live near people who speak other languages. I know nothing about Person A but I know person B is a shitbird.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do
See, that wouldn't bug me at all—it's normal that place names change along with the local dialect, and that's different from mispronunciation. MN has lots of French-derived place names that aren't pronounced as they would be in French

How do they say Petit Jean in Arkansas?
currently listening to an audiobook that is pretty good overall, but it contains some French that the narrator cannot pronounce.

I guess Reagan's pardons must be invalid, too
Huh. I know a guy who once lived there who pronounces the T, but... TIL, I guess
