Rumours that Madrid have dropped their interest in Konaté. Good news. Maybe he’ll get his head out of his arse

Physical data from the PSV game.
Even though heads are dropping when behind, the effort is still going in overall #lfc

Salah’s poor form has me thinking back on his run of bad form when Lijnders had the silly idea to push him out wider as his pace was starting to wane. Sure, he’s an excellent creator, and that messed us up, but it was easy to fix. It may take less than you would think to course correct at this level

I posted as much as anyone after last night's performance. I needed to vent. But having talked out my frustrations, I just wanted to say this for a bit of perspective:

We're only 3 points off 4th place. Arne can still turn this around. #lfc #ynwa

Rutger Bregman said that the line BBC removed from his Reith Lecture broadcast was: "Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history.”

So even UK media is now under Trump/ Putin control?

Chilling.

Alisson
Robbo
Virgil
Gomez
Conor
Grav
Mac
Szobo
Wirtz
Ekitike

…would be my preferred starting lineup to get us out of this mess

You can't sack Slot tbh. Unless he has lost the dressing room. Otherwise, it's knee-jerk and dumb. You have to give him confidence that he has the entire season to sort it out. #LFC

Not sure Konate's strategy of being incredibly shit and expecting Real Madrid to still want him at the end of the season is the wisest

We are having trouble defending in transition. The answer to that is not to “go back to basics and defend deep.”

Looking at last season, we had 6 or 7 rushing back to defend a 3 or 4 man counterattack. I haven’t seen anything like that this season, and I’m not sure why.

January will be interesting. We badly need another CB option, but we could also see a replacement for Salah come in. I could honestly see him leaving, though not while he’s starting every match.

The way I see it, a lot of people want the manager sacked because it's the one big red button you can press at this stage of the season. There's no other big call you can make that might have an immediate impact. But that's not the right reason to make the change

Driving home listening to Talksport saying that Salah was jeered all night. There was frustration when any player lost the ball. No one was jeered.

Then factor in can't hit a barn door at one end and then leaking like a seive at the other
Last 3 games:
Scored 1 from 5.6xg
Conceded 10 from 5.0xg
That's 9.6 goals under xg which I've never seen before

Some folks want blood but i'm a hard NO on sacking the coach.
A caretaker doesnt change the pressure on the players, give them new found confidence or accelerate the process for those still grieving.
All you do is sack a league winning coach who had to manage one of his players dying #lfc

If your argument is 'another manager could get more out of these players'

Then how long are you prepared to give that other manager?
More than the 12 league games you're willing to give the bloke that won us the league?
Because that's mad.

If the problems this season are Slot’s fault, it could be a learning curve. It could be naïveté about how to manage squad morale during transition with incoming talent, but any commentary on squad morale has to consider the grief they’re are dealing with. This is not the time to be ruthless fans.

The ref wanted to give them that win, but instead our lads gave up.

If that’s not a VAR-reviewable foul on Ekitike just inside the box, I have no clue what is.
