I feel like curtains might be extra important in this case 😆
Like... The whole toilet? Or just the seat? Important distinctions, here.
Essential to take the time to appreciate those things, lest we all slip (further) into insanity.
They throw in a spread of choice 😊
The bagel shop in my town gives a free bagel and coffee to anyone who needs it every morning. It's a lovely community service.

Here I am thinking how I should give the bagel shop some money since SNAP benefits are about to run out and those bagels will be essential agents of mutual aid.

I've been a bit speechless on Bsky lately. The world continues to turn, outrageous and unacceptable things continue to happen, meanwhile my personal life continues to serve as a startling contrast of joy and potential.

Such is the state of things here in my surreal late 2025 world.
And pieces of our history get demolished along the way, without our consent.
Those are rough weeks. I hope you get a break in there somewhere...someday 😅
Always so thoughtful, checking in with all corners of the Left.
Yknow, I think your calculation is spot on. That -62 words felt about equivalent to +620 words. I wasn't going in with the revision intention...sometimes the urge just comes on unbidden.

I was so torn between palliative and CL psychiatry (went CL). Palliative is such an impactful field. ♥️
I feel the same way about drag. 💙 Inhabiting that part of myself always feels so empowering. Fabulous picture!

Seems like there's an inequity in there somewhere.

Writing Tip o' the Day: Sight and sound are the biggies, but there is no sense more closely linked to memory than smell. A well-described, vivid scent will instantly immerse your reader in the scene. Don't ignore this description.

Good guy Bernie Sanders standing up for physicians in training. 💙
The resident physicians at Howard University Hospital make history by carrying on Howard's vital legacy.

They should not have to work second jobs and be paid the lowest wages of residents in the District of Columbia.

I call on Howard to reach a fair contract.
Pretty sure there are extra penalties in hell for killing someone with vegan chocolate. You're probably okay.
What kind of quality are we talking about? Russell Stover obviously not worth the risk, but a box of Moonstruck, on the other hand...
It's remarkable how people feel empowered to threaten and berate us.
As a person who works largely with people who are unhoused and/or on medicaid, this administration is a top-to-bottom nightmare.
