The pay is almost twice as much for physicians, or at least it was when I was working there 2020-2021. There's a reason 50% of the doc workforce in NZ is from overseas. Many of their grads leave for Australia and elsewhere.

And at the same time, it sounds like that staffmember really wanted to put their heart into that gesture. Giving can feel so meaningful on both sides. It's a lovely program you have going.
