Adding to this, night shifts take a toll on the body and regular night shifts disrupt all kinds of hormone regulation (melatonin, insulin, leptin, etc) and have a good amount of adverse health consequences. truly a type of evil only capitalism would create . I get why gen z make horror abt this

Sleep is a biological necessity, and sleep deprivation has real physical, psychological, and social consequences that need to be taken seriously. The way our society treats it as slothful to sleep according to natural rhythms (including midday naps and variant chronotypes like night owls) is evil.

like sometimes its like. Easier to live in that haze of denial u know. Once u realize the magnitude of the manipulation and abuse it becomes unbearable to live w ur abuser, to interact w him even in good moods…. it’s crazy how long i was in denial like years of my life bro….

apologizing to him over the phone or whatever for minutes and minutes on end and her friend was just waiting for her quietly it suddenly hit her that this was . not normal. this was actually really awful and abnormal and she hated it… i think there’s many cases kind of like this …..

idk smth abt abuse is that to the victim it can look justified when their abuser tells them they r stupid and awful over X action, like maybe they r stupid! but sometimes its over smth so tiny innocuous and meaningless that an abuser lashes out that it shatters the victims beliefs abt deserving it..
