Fun fact about the Salvation Army: they use a form of substance use treatment called work therapy. Oh, and by treatment, I mean they have people who have been convicted of drug charges work for their stores & warehouses in exchange for room, board, around a $1 a week, and minimal actual therapy.

Cycle of the Stars Dark Link 🩸

A digitally painted reference sheet for the artist’s original version of Dark Link from their Legend of Zelda AU, Cycle of the Stars. The reference sheet shows the character from different angles and includes written details and design notes. Dark Link is depicted as an amalgamation of decayed flesh in a malformed humanoid shape. Their skin is a deep navy, thinly stretched over exaggerated muscle and bone; and they have long silver hair that hangs down over glowing red eyes that cover their scalp on the left side. Thin, interlaced fingers cover their mouth and all the way down their chest, growing out of the skin to either side of the orifice. One of the images on the sheet depicts what Dark Link looks like when they open their fingers, revealing a long, vertical maw through their neck and chest; containing myriad misaligned teeth and one more larger red eye. The artist’s original design for Impa from their Legend of Zelda original story, Cycle of the Stars; laid out in a reference sheet showing the character from multiple angles as well as a breakdown of her clothing. The design depicts a tall woman of dark skin and ice white hair, with a sharp expression. She wears a sleeveless navy blue bodysuit with a high collar, and wide navy pants. A wide blue striped belt is placed over the ensemble, tied in place with a bright red strip of cloth. Red talismans hang at her waist. Over the outfit, Impa wears a red and orange cape in the rough shape of an eye, with the curved portion of the eye serving as the collar and long, triangular “eyelashes” hanging down at the back.
