Radical liberal zoomer. Published in Liberal Currents! Big fan of worldbuilding, alt-hist and shitposting (see rest of bio).

Palingenetic ultraglobalist. Pro-Palestine neocon. Woke multiculturalist NatCon. Glorifying diversity, the world's only hygiene.
The year is 2037. The economy is booming. Social media has been aligned to the public good. The green transition continues at great speed. r/MurderedByAOC no longer contains generic Twitter posts, and instead just redirects to the Wikipedia pages for about 40 Republican representatives. All is well.

I'm a reactionary but in reverse. I'm nostalgic for the future. I dream of morphological freedom and the abolition of disease. We were on that path. They will not take it from us. They will not destroy the Eden that we were going to build. We will return to our journey to destiny.

murder you commit with the machinery of bureaucracy is still murder. someone needs to end up on a pike over USAID. preferably their last name is musk.
HORRIFYING -
Dismantling USAID & cancelling >80% of aid caused ~750,000 deaths by mid-2025

🧸Most were children
⌛️ Many died within the first year

😰 Preventable deaths were mainly from:
- HIV, TB, malaria
- Maternal & fetal deaths
- Malnutrition

Had a bit of a weird dream last night that Natalie Portman became a contributor to Liberal Currents writing about electrical infrastructure, but had to change her name to Natalie Currents

Honestly it's pretty good for Descartes' public reputation that people just know about "I think therefore I am", because all the reasoning he did after that first bit that was extremely questionable

Like no, I don't think you can prove the existence of God and material reality just from that

You know, when you think about it, Kid Rock is actually just another way of saying Epstein Island

Kinda crazy that we don't even need to make any administrative effort to win things like the NFL in the national divorce, they just auto-Gleichschaltung for us after taking a look at the other freaks

The US after 2028 is a typical, developed democracy. Elections take place in an environment where the general public have a range of political parties to choose from, operating in a pluralistic media landscape, with totally free, secret ballots, after which the Democrats win.

Manifesting this
Japan is a typical, developed democracy. Elections take place in an environment where the general public have a range of political parties to choose from, operating in a pluralistic media landscape, with totally free, secret ballots, after which the LDP win.

Imagining a 1970s version of Matt Yglesias who says: "McGovern is the strongest candidate for 1972; he overperformed Humphrey by 25%. He will win back the moderate vote"

Explaining the strategy of peaceful protests to a gamer: "okay so instead of spamming the basic attack, if you tank enough hits and build public anger, you can do your ult"
this is how you respond. yesterdaty's peaceful protest suceeded.

and now people who weren't angry are
The nighttime protest at PDX ICE facility is now huge after ICE tear gassed children yesterday.

I'm optimistic about our chances to the point of delusion. 2028? That's the best election result the GOP will get for the next 20 years. The 2030 midterms? It'll make 2026 look like a ripple. We will consolidate control and set the narrative. The eighth party system will be a 80% blue map. By area.

My friend who works for the foreign ministry has a good head for policy but when it comes to political instincts, I keep remembering the time he predicted in 2023 that Biden would step aside for Gina Raimondo (the strongest candidate, of course). Very wonk-brained thinking
