What I'm saying is that if we want novel and entertaining discourse, we should pick more fights with people from other countries instead of arguing with ourselves. It's through contact with other cultures that our own culture becomes richer.

We have to seize the organs of public narrative formation. I'd been reluctant to accept it, but we just have to do it if we want to reverse any of this. We need temporary control over social media algorithms to restore democratic cultural norms and promote social progressivism and multiculturalism.

If the right will not police themselves, then I'm afraid we have no choice but to police for them. Our Reconstruction should not simply put reactionary fascists in containment, but also cleanse the ideology from public life. Those who associated with it should be treated as contaminated.

Can someone please explain the whole deal with Straussians? I know they're trying to gather hidden meanings from classical texts and that many of them are basically fascist but I don't know why that would have to follow from the first thing. Googling doesn't give me enough context

I hope you won't take this as American imperialism, given that I'm Australian, but I really hope the next Democratic president seizes control of social media algorithms and floods the feeds of transphobic and xenophobic UK journalists until they get mindwhammied into wokeness. Might be the only way.

My first interaction with the American right was when I was in Year 9 in 2016 and arguing with someone in the YouTube comments who said that the American response to 9/11 should have been to nuke Mecca and then nuke every Muslim country that didn't praise that response.

I'll admit that I was slightly bummed but that's only because I'm pathologically optimistic and automatically gravitate to the most favourable interpretation or prediction that's remotely possible
