Surely you mean Nos Calan Gaeaf 🤣🤣🤣. It's one of the enjoyments I have explaining to Irish people that samhain is Celtic but it isn't Irish or rather it isn't unique to Ireland and definitely pre dates Ireland. In fairness though Halloween today is more American than Celtic

Having lived in Ireland for 30 years and have Gaelic speaking friends I would argue that. Personally I would put scot Gaelic in the same vain as Geordie to English. However I accept that's just my opinion

Oooh I forgot about kernow, although they're just our cut off cousins 🤣🤣. I love the history and language trail of Cymru, kernow and Breton. Languages that are family through migration and remigration over Milena.

I used to follow her on the other site, not sure if she's here. The reality though is that the cymric word for English is saesneg and it would be nice if they remembered this. UK has been a multi cultural group of islands for millennium and it's better for it. Multiculturalism is a positive

I tend to throw the gealic and Scots Gaelic together but I believe and I could be wrong but I believe that Scots has been recognised as a unique language recently which of course if true would emphasis my point
