I'd heard this term before but never bothered to find out what it meant.

It explains much.

I'm at the clinic and going in...

Not too bad, as the reading age metric only goes up to 16. You need a reading age of 8 to read the Sun, apparently.

Adults reading age below 10 is about 20% in the UK.

I'd set a far higher failure rate for UK citizens.

After a quick look at various A level language syllabuses, that depth of study is totally over the top for practically any job that anyone from overseas might want to do.

Of course the bodies of the Israeli hostages should be returned to their families as soon as possible, but I'm thinking that an even more massive challenge will be finding the remains of many thousands of Palestinians in the ruins of Gaza and laying them to rest.

The Spectator...truth?

It's not often you find those two in close proximity.

Excuse me, Wes baby, but I didn't realise there was any statute of limitations determining when we could discuss the Brexit elephant in the room.

We've been talking about Brexit damage for nine fucking years - since you were some middling minor council member...

A lot's happened lately...resignations in Cornwall, Farage's admission that he knew Gill well, the manifesto tax cuts reversal...

Is it just me, or are Reform starting to unravel?

Long term, yes it's a concern and should be addressed when it comes to finding exactly who profits from this whole situation, and launching a full investigation.

However, I think the overriding concern should be how thousands of people can live in a bombed out desert with no infrastructure.

There are 49 million kangaroos in Australia and 3.5 million people in Uruguay.

This means that if the kangaroos attacked Uruguay, each person would have to fight 14 kangaroos.

Why wade through a tank of raw stinking sewage when you can dip your toes in a rock pool?

I went with the Athanor Blonde. Far sweeter than I anticipated. I'm not a fan of sweet beers, so I won't buy this again.

Still, you never know until you try!

Tonight's beer choice.

A 4.8% ABV Kölsch style blonde and a 4% ABV session pale ale.

I've never seen a pale ale here before, apart from the obvious and increasingly popular IPAs.

At one time, if I heard the term "Labour" (as in the political party), I'd think of positive qualities like equality, justice, empathy, common sense and openness. Sure, the party has never been perfect, but it's usually shown itself to be totally distinct from all its rivals.

But now?

Nah.
