Not too bad, as the reading age metric only goes up to 16. You need a reading age of 8 to read the Sun, apparently.

Adults reading age below 10 is about 20% in the UK.

I'd set a far higher failure rate for UK citizens.

After a quick look at various A level language syllabuses, that depth of study is totally over the top for practically any job that anyone from overseas might want to do.

Of course the bodies of the Israeli hostages should be returned to their families as soon as possible, but I'm thinking that an even more massive challenge will be finding the remains of many thousands of Palestinians in the ruins of Gaza and laying them to rest.

Long term, yes it's a concern and should be addressed when it comes to finding exactly who profits from this whole situation, and launching a full investigation.

However, I think the overriding concern should be how thousands of people can live in a bombed out desert with no infrastructure.

At one time, if I heard the term "Labour" (as in the political party), I'd think of positive qualities like equality, justice, empathy, common sense and openness. Sure, the party has never been perfect, but it's usually shown itself to be totally distinct from all its rivals.
