The most infuriating part is that all of these assholes could just fucking retire. They are set for life. They could go enjoy their bribes and free healthcare and do whatever they want. Instead, they stay in power, ensuring that life will get harder for us and better for billionaires.
It was all for nothing. That's what this reads like. People lost their jobs, went hungry, were scared shitless for NOTHING. At least with a fight going on, people felt like someone was in their corner and that when this was all over, we wouldn't have given up everything.

It’s important to achieve bipartisanship with Republicans so they can arrest Barack Obama for something they read on the Epoch Times’ Facebook page written by a Chinese cult member in 2019.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

I got asked a while back why I critique the dems harder than the GOP and this the reason.

At least we all already know the GOP sucks.

The Dems, however, have this bad habit of pretending to fight for something positive and then giving up. It's literally collusion with the GOP and it's poisonous.

This and the airline industry lobbyists are what did it. Not Americans starving and paying twice as much for healthcare.

“Antidumping probes into Italian pasta makers are nothing new.

The Commerce Department has been inspecting them since the mid-1990s, when it found that many importers were flooding the U.S. with pasta priced below normal market prices in a bid to undercut their U.S. competitors.“

Pete Buttigieg said that as a teenager and young man in the late 90s and early 00s, before gay marriage was legal, before congress overturned DADT, and having grown up Catholic, he struggled with internalized homophobia and wished he was different before coming to accept himself. That's not evil.
sadly, thats not what our boy Pete said, was it.

he said if he had the power to make it so, he would have violently carved out the person Chasten fell in love with, in the hopes more important people would have liked him better.

not unprecedented in politics, mind, but most dont say it in public.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

I’m suggesting removal of Schumer & Durbin leadership roles this week, and censure of the dirty eight. Huge public statement indicating this isn’t who the Dem party is and vowing to have working people’s backs. Even that may not be enough.

Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

No matter how they voted last night, every one of them has a say in maintaining Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin as their caucus leaders. Every one of them is accountable here.

I guess it's his turn to play the part of the disappointed leader. It's always so convenient that when the gop are the minority, dems need to compromise with them, and when dems are the minority....they need to compromise with the gop.
I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.
